Urethane cement

The floor for commercial kitchens, wash-down areas, and anywhere heat, water, and chemicals hit every day.

The problem

Why this system.

Kitchens, food plants, and breweries destroy ordinary coatings: thermal shock from hot water, grease, acids, constant cleaning. Urethane cement is built for exactly that duty.

Where it belongs

  • Commercial kitchens and cafeterias
  • Food and beverage processing
  • Wash-down and cook-chill areas
  • Breweries and bottling
  • Loading docks with heavy impact

The system

What goes down.

A troweled or self-leveling urethane-cement mortar, typically a quarter inch, bonded to prepped concrete, with integral cove base so there is no seam at the wall. Optional broadcast for slip resistance and a chemical-resistant topcoat.

When it is the wrong choice

Overkill for an office or a showroom. If the floor never sees heat or heavy chemicals, epoxy does the job for less.
